• Official check-in time is at 3 PM—but if you arrive early, there’s a beach, park, food, and shops across the street to enjoy while you wait.

• Plan for about 1 hour to go over your Easy Camper setup and all the awesome tips and tricks that’ll make your Maui vacation the best one ever! 🌴

• I’ll reach out 2 days before check-in to confirm everything and make sure you’re ready for your island adventure!

Regular Check-In Process: The previous guest checks out by 11 AM, and it takes about 3 hours to clean, set up, and be ready for you at 3 PM.

If the previous guest checks out earlier than 11 AM I can start earlier and have everything ready for you sooner. I'll know a day or two before you arrive. Plan for 3 PM, but if you'd like to check in earlier, just message me a couple of days before to check.

Early Check-In Option: If you're landing early in the morning and don’t want to wait until 3 PM to start your Maui adventure, you can change your reservation to start the day before. This way, you can check in anytime from 3 PM that day onward. So, when you wake up, you can start your vacation right away instead of waiting until 3 PM. Message me if you'd like to change your reservation start date.

Kipahulu Camp Area (Haleakala National Park - Hana Side)

Why Kipahulu?: This is the only campground us locals use and highly recommend. It’s where the trail starts for the incredible Bamboo Forest.

Even if you're not camping at Kipahulu, you’ll definitely want to visit and explore the Bamboo Forest Trail. The daytime parking lot has a fee.. For a little extra then cost of the daytime parking lo you can reserve a campsite. Then you’ll already be there to start your morning adventure right at the trailhead instead of waking up somewhere else and driving there! This is exactly why us locals only use this campground anywhere on the island - it’s the best way to experience the beauty of the area without the extra hassle of driving there in the morning.

Pro Tip: Reservations for Kipahulu Campground can only be made 30 days or less in advance. If you’re arriving in 30 days or less, go ahead and reserve now online, as it’s a popular spot. If you’re arriving more than 30 days from now, set a reminder for 30 days before you arrive to book your Kipahulu spot. Check out the Kipahulu Campground website for more info.

You guide has two other Hana Camping Spots for a unique camping experience If Kipahulu is booked up, no worries!

Private Camping Ground – Has a fee. Gan get while you’re here.

Rocky Beach Camping – 3 spots first-come, first-serve.

Weather Tips for Hana Road:

Maui is sunny and 80°F most of the time, but the rainforest can get some tropical rain. You might hear, “Maui rains for 10 minutes, then it’s sunny for 2 hours, then rain for 10 minutes again, and sunny again for 2 hours.” That’s Hana Road! To make sure you get the best Hana Road experience, plan your trip for the day after you arrive. If it’s raining heavily on Hana Road, you can easily reschedule for another day. If you plan for the end of your trip and it rains, there won’t be time to reschedule for a sunny day.

How many nghts to camp up in Hana, imporant question, heres recommended:

3-4 nights on Maui = 1 NIght in Hana

5 -6 nights on Maui = 2 Nights Hana

7 nights or more on Maui - 3 Nights Hana (max can camp at Kipahulu Campground in a month time frame)
